The text, From Realpolitik to Dingpolitic or How to Make Things Public, by Bruno Latour, formed a large part of the discussion of the symposium. Before we all met in Amsterdam, each of us was given the Latour text in full and also a specific part of the text from which to make a summary. The instructions were to thoroughly read and analyse our Latour fragments and then summarise in our own words and style the necessary details of the text. The next step was to then take one issue from this fragment and to elaborate upon it. These new fragments have been collected here (see below) and make up a full summary of Latour’s text and to an extent an interpretation of it by all participants of the symposium.
