The MFA is based at the academy in Den Bosch, housed in the former Remington factory. The MFA workspace is set up as an open studio setting, consisting of two big spaces, in which each student accommodates a workspace for him or herself. Weekly studio visits, group talks and feedback sessions are also held in this shared space, and outside of the academy. The open studio coexists with your home based, or individual studio.
AKV|St.Joost has spacious, well-equipped workshops to your disposal at both locations (Breda and Den Bosch), including wood, construction, plaster and ceramics, plastics, metal, media, printing and 3d-printing, silkscreen, and graphic techniques workshop. The ceramic workshop is unique for it’s big kiln.
Furthermore, there are photostudios available, and a darkroom for analogue printing. All workshops are guided by knowledgeable workshop assistants.
